What is Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty?
Sagging skin around your eyes can make you look tired and older than you really are. Traditionally surgery, in the form of an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) removes skin or fat from the eyelids but can be costly and involve hospital admission, anaesthetic and greater side-effects.
Plexr® is a revolutionary new non-surgical blepharoplasty (eye-lift) treatment that gives outstanding results without the need for cutting. The treatment is carried out by only a handful of clinics in London and only by fully qualified and trained medical professionals. Plexr® non-surgical blepharoplasty treatment utilises plasma beam energy created from the ionisation of atmospheric gas between the Plexr probe and the skin, It works by ‘zapping’ the excess skin with the plasma current to remove the excess skin and resulting in tightening of the skin, without the need for cutting like traditional surgery. Plexr® non-surgical blepharoplasty will take only 20 minutes and will give excellent results that last just as long as traditional surgery.
What happens during the Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty?
Plexr® non-surgical blepharoplasty eye-lift is comfortable and relatively pain-free. After a thorough consultation, photographs will be taken and an anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area prior to the treatment.
The Plexr® device is then passed along the skin in order to tighten or remove any irregularities and sagging areas on the skin. The treatment may feel hot in places and there may be a tingling or mild burning sensation during the treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
Up to 3 treatments are included in our price but usually only one treatment is required. As with surgery, effects are permanent but further treatment may be needed after 3-5 years due to the natural ageing process.
Are there and side-effect to the Plexr non-surgical blepharoplasty treatment?
Plexr® plasma technology has been used worldwide for several years with no significant adverse events. The main side-effects include:
- Redness
- Swelling of the treated area
- Crusting and scabbing (lasting up to 10 days)*
- Itching and soreness (lasting up to 10 days)*
*Downtime can be longer in some skin types.
What can I expect after the Plexr Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty?
Effects are noticeable immediately after treatment and around one week of ‘down-time’ in the form of redness, swelling and scabbing can be expected. The price of the treatment will include a complementary medical grade Oxygenetics skincare kit of specialist skin camouflage and moisturiser.
Tiny dark brown spots will appear on the treated area and will flake off over the following 7 days. The area may be tender as it is healing and may scab over or become a little sloughy. It is important to allow any spots or scabs to fall off naturally otherwise scarring or infection may occur. After treatment, we advise keeping the treated area clean, dry and avoid exposing the area to extremes of heat or cold until it has healed.
