Oily Skin Treatment

Oily Skin Treatment | Regents Park Aesthetics

When does Oily Skin happen?

Oily skin happens when the sebaceous glands in the skin make too much sebum. Sebum is vital for keeping the skin healthy. However, too much sebum can lead to oily skin, clogged pores, and acne.

At Regents Park Aesthetics we offer a range of cutting edge treatments to help minimise oily skin and keep it in top shape.

DermaTox

Botulinum Toxin injections are known for treating wrinkles but they also have an important role in treating gland in the skin such as those under the arms for excessive sweating and those in the face for oil production.

Our DermaTox treatment combines small doses of Botulinum Toxin with a Hyaluronic acid serum which is applied to the skin. We then use a micro-needling device to ‘push’ the product into the skin. Results are visible after 2 weeks. You will experience a less oily complexion, with reduction in pores.
If you suffer from acne breakouts, these will be drastically diminished. Not only this but you will see an improvement in the quality of the skin, especially increased radiance, for a visibly younger look.

Are there any side-effects?

The doses of Botulinum Toxin used are very small and superficial so this will not affect the movement of the face. You will look natural and refreshed. You may experience some mild redness from the micro-needling but otherwise there is no downtime.

Skin Peels

Skin peels can help with acne breakouts and oily skin as they contain a blend of different acids that target oil production. There is a little more down-time with peels compared to Dermatox (Usually about 5-7 days)
