Semi-Permanent Makeup London

What is semi permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing and micropigmentation are all names for the same thing, which is implementing pigment into the papillary layer of the dermis.

The aim of permanent make up is to provide lasting enhancement to natural beauty. ‘Rain Proof’ makeup to wake up to, it won’t budge, smudge or smear. It is the perfect solution for a low maintenance beauty routine.

All treatments are a two stage process with initial application followed by a top-up after four to eight weeks. After the top up your enhancement should last for around a year or two after which you can arrange a colour boost appointment to refresh your look. Longevity of permanent makeup can vary depending on a number of factors including sun exposure, skin type, pigments chosen, and some topical skin creams. A good SPF can help maintain fresh permanent makeup!

All treatments will require a patch test 48 hours prior to procedure.

Who can benefit from permanent makeup?

There are a multitude of reasons to choose to have permanent makeup and there are many ways it can benefit people.

  • An obvious reason is it saves time! The typical makeup wearing woman spends an average of 9 days a year applying makeup – time that could be spent having that extra few minutes in bed.
  • People with poor eyesight often have difficulty applying makeup as they can’t see clearly without their glasses getting in the way of correct application.
  • Some medical conditions like alopecia may cause individuals to lose brow and/or eyelash hair and this can impact on self-confidence. Permanent brows or eyeliner can help improve self-esteem.
  • Other medical conditions can affect people’s abilities to confidently apply makeup. Parkinson’s or MS can make it tricky and arduous to apply.

Some individuals simply don’t have the confidence in makeup application for whatever reason, permanent makeup takes the stress out of getting ready and feeling put-together.
